Wendell Loewen, DMin

director

Wendell Loewen has been directing Tabor College’s youth leadership programs since 2011.  He was the driving force behind Tabor’s adoption of Ministry Quest (the school’s previous youth leadership program) and the visionary behind FaithFront.

Wendell’s heartbeat is empowering a new generation of Christian leaders who are willing to follow Jesus Christ daily, radically, and totally in life.

Wendell has also been teaching at Tabor College in the areas of youth, church and culture since 1997.  He has been in and around youth ministry for over 30 years!  Before coming to Tabor, Wendell spent the previous 12 years in parachurch and local church youth ministries in California and the Midwest.  He led summer mission trips to Mexico with Youth Mission International.  Wendell has also served part-time as the District Youth Minister of the Southern District Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.

Wendell regularly speaks in churches, to youth groups, and at camps, retreats and conferences.  He has also served as a consultant to churches and schools in the area of adolescent development and culture.  He has led seminars and workshops for parents, youth ministries and community groups.  Wendell has also co-chaired National Mennonite Brethren Youth Conventions in 2007 and 2011.

He has written Beyond Me: Grounding Youth Ministry in God’s Story (Faith and Life, 2008), along with various articles and reviews published in Direction journal, the Christian Leader, and With magazine Wendell also contributed to the book When Kids Hurt: Help for Adults Navigating the Adolescent Maze (Baker Books, 2009).

Wendell completed a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Youth and Family Ministries from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena California (D.Min., ’05).  He is a graduate of Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary (M.Div., ‘92); and Fresno Pacific University (B.A., ‘87).

Wendell and his wife Shelly live in Hillsboro, Kansas, and love spending time with their grandchildren.

Leah Remboldt

Leah Remboldt has been working for FaithFront since 2016. She finds a lot of joy using her gifts and strengths in her role with this program.

Leah completed a graduate degree of Ministry Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Tabor College (M.A. 2021). She also received her undergraduate in Christian Ministries from Tabor College (B.A. 2010).

Leah enjoys running, journaling, traveling, discipleship, and organization. Leah and her husband, Zac, live in Hillsboro, KS. They have three children: Benaiah, Connor, and Venora.
